SWCA communications adapter for SW and PS series Xantrex inverters
This item is pretty much obsolete, since the Xantrex SW inverters have been replaced by the new XW line.
| The SWCA serial communications interface adapter allows for remote set-up, adjustment, troubleshooting and monitoring of SW series inverters from a personal computer. Connection to the SWCA can be via 4 conductor phone type cable or with standard PC modems over telephone line. A note from us here - we are not too impressed with this item as it comes from Xantrex, as the software is pretty primitive. In fact it sucks. | |
| SWCA Includes:
Control your SW series inverter from your PC: | Addressable set-up capability allows monitoring and control of up to 8 inverters with a single PC serial port or modem at the same location Compatible with all SW series inverter software versions & PS series inverters |
| Remote connection requires a telephone line and a PC modem for connection to the inverter. The computer you use to call the inverter also requires a modem and a terminal emulation program such as HYPER-TERMINAL or similar. Suggested Modem: US Robotics external 33.6 PC modem or equivalent. Data Logging and Site History Information: Software developed by third party vendors will allow collection and manipulation of the data transmitted by the SWCA from the SW Series inverter. Benefits:
Minimum System Requirements: IBM compatible computer with at least a 386 processor and 8 meg RAM and DOS or Windows software. Modem access is provided on a dial in basis only and requires a modem capable of operation at 9600 baud with auto answer capability. Connection of a PC or modem to the SWCA may require additional cables and adapters. A terminal emulation program is also required for use with modems. Basically, any computer built since 1985 would meet the specs. | |
