Solar Water Pump System Examples

This section lists different types of complete systems for water pumping from wells. These are examples only, to show typical items needed.

25 Foot

This system is a battery based system for use as a sump pump, either for emergency backup, or in a location where there is no AC power. Although this system is designed for 25 foot, the pump is capable of pumping up to 100 foot head. The actual number and size of panels and batteries may vary, depending on how often the pump is used and your geographic location. This example system is factored for the sunbelt states of the USA. This system will pump about 4 gallons (15 liters) per minute. Based on a 25% duty cycle.
